Rhodiola rosea (scientific name: Rhodiola rosea L.), is a perennial herb of the sedum family Rhodiola rosea, 10-20 cm high. The root is thick, conical, fleshy, brownish yellow, with many fibrous roots at the root neck, the rhizome is short, thick, cylindrical, covered by many scale-like leaves arranged in tiles. Inflorescence corymbose, densely multi-flowered, 2 cm long, 3-6 cm wide; petals 4, yellow-green, linear oblanceolate or oblong, 3 mm long, obtuse.
