Nitenpyram is a neonicotinoid insecticide with unique chemical and biological properties. It mainly acts on insect nerves and has a nerve blocking effect on the synaptic receptors of pests. It is used in rice, vegetables and other crops. It has excellent activity against various aphids, whiteflies, rice leafhoppers and thrips, and is highly efficient and low-toxic. ,and the insecticidal spectrum is wider, the residual period is longer (administered at 100mg/kg for 15d), and for rice planthopper, at 0.5-0.8mg/kg, lethal The rate is still up to 100%, safe to use, and pests are not easy to produce antibodies.
Nitenpyram is used orally with dogs and cats to control fleas. After ingestion, it begins killing fleas within 30 minutes and kills all adult fleas within 4 hours. The effects of nitenpyram last approximately 24-48 hours. Nitenpyram is safe to use on puppies and kittens as young as four weeks old if they weigh at least 2 pounds (0.91 kg). Panting and excitement have been noted in cats within 2 hours of administration. In heavily infested animals, it can cause extreme itching as the fleas die.
